Volunteering is a great opportunity to create career connections and serve your professional organization.

We’re seeking the following positions:

Registration Booth Attendants:

At the registration booth attendants will be checking in conference goers and distributing name tags, answering registration related questions, and referring questions to the conference manager or administration as needed.

Membership/Raffle Booth Attendants:

Be the face of AzLA! Your job at this booth will be to promote and answer questions about AzLA membership, as well as to encourage engagement with the conference’s social media. You’ll also be responsible for selling tickets for the daily raffle.

Conference Concierge (Hospitality Booth):

The Conference Concierge Volunteer will provide the friendly face and helpful information for conference attendees. During your shift the Conference Concierge Volunteer will greet conference participants and answer general questions. The Hospitality Table will be the “go-to” location for the Speaker and Author Liaisons to pick up and return their speaker/author liaison information. Many of the conference attendees will need to be directed to their next session – We will have a map (and an app) for that! The sessions will be available through an app and some attendees will need assistance accessing the full conference schedule. Time for lunch?  Where are the best local eateries? We will have information for you to share. What to do after the conference?  Flagstaff tourism brochures will also be available at the hospitality table.

Speaker Liaisons:

Speaker Liaisons play a critical role in making sure conference programs run smoothly. In addition to introducing the program session speakers, Liaisons notify venue staff if there is something in the room in need of attention; including audio-visual matters, temperature, adding additional seating, etc. Speaker Liaisons also are in charge of tracking program statistics, including program attendance counts and the distribution of program session evaluation surveys.

Students – Volunteer for 3 hours and attend the conference for free! Normally reserved for AzLA members in library school programs, we are opening this opportunity up to NAU students, and students of all programs across the state!
